I. Countywide Partners

Growth Partnership for Ashtabula County (GP) is the lead private economic development organization serving Ashtabula County. Its mission is to increase economic vitality and prosperity within the county.





The Ashtabula County Commissioners play a multi-faceted role in economic and community development through the operations of various county agencies and through their support and funding to other countywide and community organizations.




The mission of the Ashtabula County Port Authority is to implement economic development initiatives that will strengthen and diversify the economy of Ashtabula County.




The Civic Development Corporation of Ashtabula County (CDC) is a private community development organization, whose mission is to enhance the quality of life in Ashtabula County.






The Ashtabula County Convention and Visitors Bureau (CVB) is dedicated to growing tourism in Ashtabula County for recreation, entertainment, educational, business, and personal/family reasons.





The Ashtabula County 503 Corporation's mission is to promote job creation and economic development in Ashtabula County providing debt capital, often below market rates, to local companies.







Northeast Ohio Regional Airport strives to compete as a world-class business aviation facility. As such, it is a unique economic development asset for Ashtabula County.





LEADERship Ashtabula County encourages, educates and stimulates individuals of all ages to become more familiar with, more interested in and engaged in all facets of civic endeavor that affect Ashtabula county citizens. Developing future leadership for economic and community development is a key priority.







Kent State University at Ashtabula is the northeastern-most campus of Kent State University. A wide variety of 4-year and 2-year degree programs, contiuining education courses, and training programs are offered on the campus. Kent State, Ashtabula contributes to economic and community development through growing the talent base and educating the workforce that resides and works in Ashtabula County.





The Ashtabula County Technical and Career Campus offers a wide range of high school level and adult education programs advancing careers in various fields and occupations. Atech contributes to local economic and community development through its role in education and workforce development.





The Ashtabula County Chambers of Commerce is the council of local chambers in Ashtabula County. The organization uses the collective strength of the local chambers to impact business and economic development.





Young Professionals of Ashtabula County (YPAC) is an organization for young professionals that live and/or work in Ashtabula County to network, socialize, grow professionally and help out within the community together.







The Ohio State University Cooperative Extension Service in Ashtabula County has a long tradition of providing agricultural education for Ashtabula County. It is an active agent for economic and community development across the county.





Ashtabula County's Public and Private Schools are partners for economic and community development in the county through their educational mission and through their participation in many other development programs, supporting career awareness, student mentoring, youth leadership, and many other activities.





The Route 534 Corridor Association, or Connect 534 was designed around creating and marketing new events along the State Route 534, which includes the City of Geneva, Geneva Township, Geneva-on-the-Lake, and Harpersfield Township, Connect 534 promotes local businesses, tourism, and communtiy advancement.



Through its generous financial contributions, the Robert S. Morrison Foundation is a family foundation supporting economic development, community development, and the arts and culture in Ashtabula County.




The Business of Good Foundation's mission is to help those who help the poor. Through its investments and other assistance, the foundation works to support economic and community in Ashtabula County and Northeast Ohio.







Ashtabula's NEO Fund provides financing and business coaching to individuals who have existing small businesses, who are looking to transition, or who are interested in opening their own small business within Ashtabula County. 





SPIRE Institute is one of the largest indoor, multi-sport, training and competition complexes in the world. With more than 750,000 sq. ft. under roof and acres of outdoor facilities, it has the unique capacity to host clubs, leagues, tournaments and championship events no matter the weather or the season. Every consideration has been taken to create an unparalleled experience for the athlete, the coach and the spectator. SPIRE's mission is to unlock the full potential of the human spirit via athletics, academics and service. 




The Ohio Wine Producers Association is based in Geneva and is an asset for the growth of wineries and tourism within the county. 




The Ashtabula County Land Bank acquires vacant and delinquent properties, return them to productive use, reduce blight, increase property values, support community goals, and improve the quality of life for county residents.





After School Discovery is working to design, test and - ultimately - apply county -wide, a technology bridge that connects students with learning opportunities locally - or wherever in the world lessons can be found.





The Ashtabula Foundation is a philanthropic organization whose primary mission is the betterment of Ashtabula County through the administration of funds consistent with the intent of donors to addess the significant needs of Ashtabula County.





The Conneaut Foundation (CF) is a private foundation dedicated to improving the quality of life in Ashtabula County and Northwestern Pennsylvania through a variety of community efforts.







Ashtabula County Metroparks mission is to: to preserve adequate greenspace, provide parks and recreational areas to meet our growing needs, maintain examples of the natural beauty and rural character of our county, enhance our natural resources, and promote a pleasant and health-giving environment for the people of Ashtabula County.



The Ashtabula County Library District's mission is: "Reading, Learning, and Discovering." That says it all. The library is an economic and community development resource and it is a source of information and knowledge for all citizens.
